The Sandpiper Suite boasts the most amazing views of the Coral Sea. In close proximity to Oak Beach it differs from all the other bungalows as it has a separate lounge- and the balcony is twice the size of all the other bungalows. Unique and highly desirable as it is the only Suite at our property.

Approach
Starting point: CNS-Cairns AirportDirection: N CNS-Cairns Airport-34 mi N. Driving to Thala from the airport is very simple. Once you leave the airport you come to a set of traffic lights at the junction with the main Cook Highway. Turn RIGHT at these lights and remain on this road for approximately 50 minutes. There are a total of 9 roundabouts all between the airport and Kewarra Beach. Make sure that you always exit off these roundabouts on the Port Douglas/Mossman exit DO NOT TURN OFF FOR KURANDA. After the ninth roundabout remain on this road for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. It follows the coastline and is a very picturesque drive REMEMBER TO KEEP TO THE LEFT. You will pass Hartleys Creek Crocodile Farm and a small area of homes known as Wangetti. Thala is approximately 12 minutes past this point the road twists around the coastline. There are places that slower cars can pull over to the left and slow down to allow faster traffic following to pass. You will come to a sign on the right indicating Thala Beach Lodge 100 meters ahead on the right- start indicating to turn RIGHT at this stage. You will then come to our entrance- drive up to the main lodge and reception area as we have valet parking in place to take care of your vehicle. Drive safely-We can organize airport transfers. There are 3 modes of transport. 1. Seat in coach transfers at AUD 30.00 p/p one way2. Sedan limousine at AUD 150.00 one way3. Stretch limousine at AUD 200.00 one wayTo book transfers we require the guests full flight information no later than 24 hours prior to their arrival. The driver will be holding a sign with their name and be waiting in the arrivals terminal.
