Ora et labora, to pray and to work in community is one of the maxims of the Cistercian Order. We want to translate this rule into modern times: Focused working, social getting together, good food and drinks, much culture and beautiful nature around. And the positive aura of the Cistercian monastery is well noticeable.

The guest rooms combine simplicity and attention to detail. Every room has its individual charm. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC and telephone. You can choose between rooms in the former mill and the guest house St. Hedwig. For families, the former shed of the monastery has been converted to a guest house with rooms and apartments (with a total of 18 beds).

Hospitality has a long tradition in the Cistercian Order. Every monastery had its own guest house. In 1995 the old guest house of the monastery St. Marienthal was carefully modernized. Besides 4 single and 10 double bedrooms, lounges and a fireplace room are available now.

For centuries, the monastery St. Marienthal had a wheat mill. 1997, 15 single bedrooms and 19 double bedrooms have been established in this protected building.
